For our first unit, artists observe, we worked with composition and value. In my older drawings, I would just smack the main focus in the middle with nothing else. Now with composition, which is the creative layout of the drawing, my drawings look a lot better. We then went to perspective. You can use 1, 2, or 3 point perspective. We observed hallways and drew them with one point perspective. The best thing that helped my drawings was value. Value is shading in areas that are darker and leaving lighter spaces whiter. My shading originally looked bland. But after learning the technique it looks more realistic.
In these drawings, the composition is drastically changed. The first one is just right in the middle which looks boring.. While the second one has background images and Donald interacting with them.
In these drawings, perspective used in a hallway. In the first one the perspective is off and my line quality isn't great. However, in the second one, my perspective is spot on and line quality is way better. This technique makes it look more realistic as if you were actually standing there
You can tell that the second one is the after picture because you can see the expression in the mask. The shading in this one really captures the depth of the mask. In the first one it doesn't look very 3D
